Target Pace

The current world record is 313,248m which equates to a 2:17.9/500m split, but this assumes rowing for 24 hours straight.

Paul will take short breaks as necessary but the target is to row for 56 minutes and to take 4 minutes rest, repeated 24 times. This will require a 2:09/500m split whilst rowing to compensate for the rest time.

Progress Graph - the graph below sets out how Paul is doing as against world record pace.

The black line (read off the left axis) shows how many meters ahead/behind target he is - hopefully this will go up during the row.

The white line (read off the right axis) shows the average pace he would need to maintain for the remainder of the row (assuming no rest time) to take the world record - hopefully this will go down during the row.
